2/28/2024 0 Comments Paparazzi restaurant in queens![]() He was swift and delivered service at exactly the right moment, not a second too soon nor too late. He gave confident recommendations and his wine knowledge was phenomenal. After the stress of waiting for the rest of my party, his kindness was exactly what i needed. He got me a cocktail while I waited then quickly got me a new cocktail when i realized i had ordered the wrong one. My partner for dinner was running late, and while one waiter (who strongly resembled Chris but was not Chris) constantly pressured me about the arrival of the rest of my party and the time I would need to leave the table, Chris made it nothing but a relaxing, extraordinary experience. What started off as a rocky experience ended up being simply magnificent and it’s all thanks to Chris. It's magical to share this adventure with you, can't wait to see what's next.thank you for saying yes, and really? Love you to the moon and back and 1,000 miles more. We so much appreciate her excitement and genuine hope and love for our future. My love and I got to share some amazing news with our friend. I had the Mushroom Polenta with a fried egg. Our friend had the Braised Rabbit over polenta wow this is amazing. My love ordered the Taglitille and Ragu, pasta is delicious made in house. We started with their cuttlefish and oxtail over polenta. My drink was great and 3 beans so I can live another day. I started with a delicious Espresso martini and the ladies had a glass of red. al di la Trattoria, they also have a market/bar on the back side. We got to enjoy dinner in Brooklyn with a dear friend and she introduced us to their favorite Italian neighborhood stop. Rolling thru our tour of the world, well, Portugal and New York. I loved the addition of a HEAVY cream dollop that helped balance out the flavors. ![]() Overall it’s still a solid dish and I’d give it a 5/5.įor dessert we got the seasonal persimmon jam pie which was super thin and flavorful. While the restaurant passed on creativity and texture on the candele pasta, I wished for more thicker of a sauce and the pasta was a bit too heavy on the pepper for my liking. I generally rate Italian places with how well them make their pasta al dente and how well they make cacio e Pepe. The calabrese pepper sauce that comes with the arancini is sooo good. Everything was amazing and I could eat 10 more of the arancini. My wife tried a few before settling on her wine.įor appetizers we got the arancini (5/5), polenta (4/5) and they served us the house sesame bread. I really liked the touch of an on table taste of the wine to confirm that’s the one we want. With that said, everything else was perfect. My chair was at the edge of the opening and had to have my jacket on during dinner the entire time. One major nit was that their outdoor patio is well heated but not properly setup. The restaurant is all the way downtown and the area around it is nice but not crowded if you go during the weekend. ![]() What an amazing place and such a delicious meal!! It will be a spot not to miss next time I’m in New York! My only advice… plan in advance because reservations are hard to get. The food is memorable and clearly made with care and technique. It’s a superb restaurant with a great vibe and amazing service. I would absolutely recommend dining at Lilia for a special occasion- bonus points if you’re travelling. We chose a white and a rose to pair with our main dishes. They serve great espresso martinis and have a good wine list. We adored the foccacia with it’s incredible crunch and delicious butter. The sheep’s milk agnolotti is very original but savoury. We were sat on the patio and were assisted by many great servers all very attentive and knowledgeable.įor reference, we got two pasta dishes, two cocktail snacks, one appetizer, two cocktails and two glasses of wine for a party of two (a bit over 100 each). We came from Montreal for a birthday trip and were crossing our fingers for a reservation to open up. What an experience it was dining with Lilia.
